The Shoes of Summer

If you’re like me, you’re more than likely rejoicing for the summer season and are storing your winter boots in your closet hoping that you’ll never have to see them again. But for this Canadian girl, you know that the winter season tends to creep up very quickly.

But why dampen our spirits with thoughts of snow, frost and ice? Summer is almost here! It’s time to show off your new pedicure and add a slash of colour to your wardobe.

I love Aldo’s new summer collection, it’s fun, fresh and flirty.

Here are my five top shoes for Summer:

She’s so Wicked

Aldo has paired with Canadian fashion magazine, Flare, the company has been working closely with stylish fashion director, Liz Cabral. Together they created a naturally sexy python wedge with a flash of fluoro orange called Bish. This wedge is perfect to pair with a short skirt or skinny jean.

The BISH shoe retails for $135.

Seventies Child

Make any outfit pop with this shoe. It screams out seventies with it’s great print and rounded toe. This will be your greatest accessory this summer.

The Forwood shoe retails for $90.

The Wallflower

You cannot flip though a fashion magazine or walk into a clothing store without seeing floral print. The beauty about this heel is that you can pair it with a floral or solid outfit. The Destime is totally trendy and serves as a great accent.

The Destime retails for $100.

The New Kid on the Block

What better way to honour the latest and hottest trend – colour blocking then strutting around in these heels. The two-toned Santellan heel works for well for day or night. Wear them to work or wear them on your next date.

The Santellan retails for $100.

Revisiting the Gladiator

It’s easy to achieve effortless style when you’re wearing these sandals. I love the slim straps and flat heel.

The Greiner retails for $64.98 (currently on sale)

Happy Shopping!

  1. Ooo I want the seventies child shoe… SO gorgeous. I am really digging the wedges this season! I need to go shoe shopping!

  2. I love them. I love print, it’s such a refreshing design and the punch of colour just screams summer. It’s playful. What I really like about the wedge is that it can act as the perfect accent to the basic outfit. Just imagine pairing this with a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt or tank.
By the way, I need to go shopping too. =)
